Here is the
page where you will find tons of things that I want to share with
you. I will post updates of great poker offers, my thoughts on
various topics, and basically keep you up to date with everything
that I think might be fun to read or share great information. It's
like a journal for me, but should have some fun stories and good
information.
1/18/07 It is a dark day for internet poker as we have just seen the closure of Neteller to USA residents. It is truly unfortunate that our government seeks to limit our choices in poker playing, and is making it difficult for us to move money to the poker sites. However, they have certainly not won the war here. There are many other payment processors out there that still accept transfers to poker site from United States residents. The two I would most highly recommend are Epassporte and Click2Pay. If you don't already have one of these account, I strongly suggest that you create one so that you will still have a way to move your money around between poker sites as you feel the need. 1/13/07 Wow, if you are not already at Mansion you need to get there ASAP. Not only are they offering up a 100% deposit bonus up to $1000, but they are also trying to win over your business by offering up massive guaranteed prize pool tournaments. They are offering the big daddy $100 buy in featuring a $100,000 guaranteed prize pool, and I have yet to see this tourney have more than 500 entrants. That means Mansion is putting up $50,000 of their own money for extra payouts every time they run this. And how often do they run it? EVERY SINGLE DAY! Get in on a piece of this extra money before they realize that they lost their mind! 1/6/07 I have been doing really well in 2007 over at Mansion. The 100% deposit bonus up to $1000 is amazing, and you can clear it at their poker room, casino, or sportsbook. I made a few bets on bowl games, and have been playing quite a lot of poker too in the days off here for winter break. I've more than doubled a $200 deposit and earned about half my bonus as well! Sitting on $500 from $200 is pretty solid for a week of play I would say. If you have not signed up over at Mansion I recommend you get on top of that now before they change their mind about giving away this huge bonus! 12/29/06 I can not believe that it is almost 2007! Certainly has been a crazy year, and I am looking forward to the New Year's Eve insanity around the corner. Until then, I am happy to have a little time now to play online finally and am really excited to be trying out Mansion this week. They are offering us a 100% deposit bonus up to $1000, and if that isn't enough, they offer a full casino and sportsbook with which to clear the bonus as well. So far the poker has been good to me, so I am excited about playing there some more! 12/18/06 Well it is that time of year again - the holiday sure crept up on me quickly it seems! I am looking forward to some time off, relaxing and visiting with friends and family. Have not had much of a chance to play in the past week or so, but I am looking to go a little nuts with it this upcoming week before Christmas. Happy holidays to you and yours! 12/02/06 This weekend has been a big one for me, earning the big bonus on PokerStars this month. I've been playing .10/.25nl a lot, 3 tables at the same time. I'm currently up about $200 over a 24 hour period. I must say, the players here are quite fishy in the evenings. If you like the kind of players that will pay you off their whole stack when they have bottom pair, you might want to try it out here. Plus until the end of December they are offering a 100% deposit bonus up to $50. It's rare you find a deposit bonus at all to PokerStars so take advantage of this one while you can. 11/12/06 I've finally had some time to play a little bit more, and have been spending some time on PokerStars. They really do have all the traffic these days, with 100,000 members online at any given time. I've been having great success in the multi table tournaments recently, and it is kind of cool that they have such a wider range of buy in options available there. Nowhere else can you find MTT with 1000+ players for $1, $2, $3, $5, $10, $20 and up. Plus the Sunday Million tournament offers up a first prize of around $175,000 each week. WOW, talk about life changing money! 10/31/06 Happy Halloween everyone! Hope you all are getting out there and getting your fair share of the candy, skimpy costumes, and parties abound. I myself am certainly planning a full night! Things have been way too busy lately, but I will update soon on the happenings with the poker world. 10/03/06 Well it has finally happened. The senate managed to get through the anti-gaming bill. However, here is what we know for now...as the bill is targeting the movement of money to gambling sites, poker may be fine as it is a "skill game". In addition, there is a 270 day grace period on the enforcement of the law. At this time, 888 (pacific poker) and Party gaming have announce that they will cease to take on players from the USA and those with current accounts will be closed. This is probably due to the fact that they have casinos attached to their sites. There are quite a few reputable sites that have made press releases that it will be business as usual for at least the 270 period, and their lawyers will be looking into fighting the ban all together. These are the sites that you can trust with your money, and your play: Full Tilt, Bodog, Ultimate Bet. I am sure there are many others that will quickly follow suit and I will keep you posted on the details. In the meantime, I recommend you stick to one of these three rooms. 08/28/06 August certainly has been a busy month for me, with lots of fun trips all over the west coast visiting friends and water skiing. Have not had much time to play poker, but did manage to get a little bit of action in over at Titan Poker. I had not played there in a while and had forgotten how easily beatable the games are there. I played low limit hold em and in just a couple hours managed to turn a $25 buy in into $100. Certainly not too bad for just a couple hours! If you guys have not played there, I would highly recommend taking advantage of the 100% deposit bonus we get here at this site - just use the bonus code BRUINS after clicking through our link. Good luck at the tables! 08/13/06 Its pretty unreal, but the main event in the WSOP made 9 people at the final table millionaires. And guess where most of them came from? That's right, online poker qualifiers. First place was taken by a Bodog member, 2nd and 5th by two from Pacific Poker , and places 4th 7th and 9th were all earned from Poker Stars. Its pretty amazing that these guys could take less than $100 buy ins and parlay that into over a million. If you guys haven't tried playing satellites and are strictly cash ring and tournament players, maybe this will convince you to broaden your horizons a little. 07/24/06 Wow I have been on a tear these last few days at Pacific Poker . I have been playing mostly $25 and $50 no limit ring games, and let me tell you these guys are just waiting to hand over their money. Pacific has always had the worst players on the planet, and with WSOP season rolling it seems they have gotten even worse (if that is possible). If you guys have not tried Pacific Poker you need to get on there right away. Sign up through our link before the end of July and get an IMMEDIATE 50% deposit bonus up to $100. If you deposit $200, your bankroll will instantly be $300 to play with. And with the way the competition is right now, anyone that plays patient solid poker can run it up to a grand within a couple days no problem. Take advantage guys! 07/20/06 It has been two days now since I went out water skiing with my UCLA ski team friends, and I am still sore! Been a while since I ran the course, but I am thrilled to say that I was smooth on my 15 off pass and ran it consistently throughout the day. Unfortunately by my fourth set I was barely able to hold on to the rope, and I'm paying for it now! Still, was great to get out again... 07/14/06 It's been a crazy month for what should be a relaxing summer. I have managed however, to get in a little water skiing and a little golf despite the craziness. It's also WSOP season and there have been some fun moments, and some surprises as well. It also seems to have brought out the fish online - seems like everyone is getting into the spirit! So if you have not played in a little while, I recommend you jump online and get in a few games - the fish are biting ;) 07/04/06 Happy 4th of July everyone! Spent a long weekend in Las Vegas again this last weekend and stayed at the new South Coast. Wonderful place, brand new, clean, amazing rooms (plasma in every room!) and very inexpensive. They had all the table games you could want, and a fairly action packed poker room (5 tables going in the afternoon). Totally far from the strip, but it made for a much more relaxing trip that way. I was totally card dead on this trip and could not get a single hand the whole weekend, except for pocket jacks that lost. Ah well, what can you do. Also thought I'd give a heads up to anyone who has not tried Pacific Poker yet. This July only they are offering up a 50% deposit bonus up to $100. The best part though is that when you go through our link the bonus is credited to your account immediately so you can play with that money right away. If you have not tried it, now would be a good time.
